Oxbridge Boats

As we are a club with a very high number of juniors in our membership and with sessions attracting up to 50 rowers who are all keen to get on the water. We decided to apply for some funding to add some boats to the fleet. As we also have a limited pot of money to add to any grant we could obtain we decided to look at the selection of boats on offer from Oxbridge Boats. Our boatman was dispatched to Nottingham to inspect and report back on what was available. On his recommendation we ordered and subsequently received a new Oxbridge quad (60kg) at a very competitive price.

After having the quad for a couple of months we ordered a double and when this arrived we duly tested it on the river and gave it a resounding thumbs up for quality, speed on the water and value for money. We are now looking to purchase further boats in the future and will look at what Oxbridge can offer before buying anything else. We also hosted an Oxbridge boats day at Chester le Street to allow other clubs the chance to try the boats for themselves.

 I understand they are soon to start importing blades, we have an order ready for them subject to final inspection.

And last but far from least, both Julie and Neil from Oxbridge are two of the nicest people you could meet and give superb service to all their customers. We have made them country members of our club and they are welcome at any time.
